Time for Tea

For the last "5" months our #2 has been in a super amazing program called The Drake Institute... for the last 2 months of the 5... it's been 3 hours a day EVERYDAY after school (so basically 10 hour academic days including homework).  NONE of us could keep up with that!  HOWEVER... today was graduation!  YEAH!  She completed the program and is her best self.  About half way through the program she got super discouraged and burnt out so we pulled out the light at the end of the tunnel trick (we bribed her.... good attitude & hard work would earn her the new ipod NANO (which plays video and is a super cool color) at the completion of the program.... WHICH WAS TODAY!  So to celebrate I threw her a tea party with our neighborhood girls and she got her NANO which already had Cars, Bridge to Tarabithia, Goonies, and Princess Diaries 2 on it... as well as 3 Hannah Montana music videos and of course the best songs from The naked  Brothers Band, Hannah Montana, and High School Musical 2 songs (Thanks Eddie for helping me figure out how to download stuff:).  If you see  my sweetie... please tell her you're proud of her hard work!

Not that every other Big Blow UP lawn ornaments are any better BUT...

This is just so wrong to me...  I know I will see this in some of your yards though and I won't tease you... I guess it's atleast acknowledging  Jesus in the season... but Big Blow Up Jesus lawn ornament  just seems sac religious to me. 

I love Sandals Church!

I just do! (ok, well I know on some days some of you have heard me say I hate it... but thats just crazy talking)... I really love it, for some people, Sandals Church is some place you visit once a month if ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ELSE BETTER IS GOING ON, for others it is your church family, for others it is just a J O B... but for me it something I have completely given my life's service to!  YES... I'm tired, I'm stressed, I'm insulted, I have hurt feelings... But those are all secondary things.  The Primary thing is I love Sandals Church, I thank God for calling us to be a part of what He wanted to do,  and I don't want to be any place else in the world!  God is working in HUGE ways at Sandals and I am amazed at the God stories every day!  I love that being Real is becoming a reality in so many, that acknowledging their "junk" with themselves, sharing with others, and through the process growing closer to God.  Through this process the enemy is losing the battle in so many lives!  It's a hard process, not easy and not always pretty, many people run away from it... But for those who believe in the vision and journey to live it out amazing freedom in Christ is being established!  I just love experiencing it & being witness to it!  I love Sandals Church!
